- Village Fete – North Perrott
A date for your diary. The next Church and Cricket Club Village Fete in North Perrott will be held at the Cricket Club Ground in Willis Lane on Sunday 6th July from 12 – 4pm. Calling all dog owners! Hamstone Vets will once again be holding their Fun Dog Show. Details from North Perrott Farm Shop or 01460 72883. There will be a Bouncy Castle, new Children’s Craft activities, a Lucky Dip and games. The Yeovil Ukulele Band and Haselbury School Dancers will entertain us and there will be plenty of good food with a BBQ, Pizzas, Teas, Ice-creams and a Licensed Bar in the Pavilion. Our usual Stalls will include Cakes & Savouries, Local Produce, Plants, Tombola, Household, Books, Toys and a Raffle with 1st prize of £100. Our popular Silent Auction of around 40 Lots takes place this year with a variety of prizes, including a ride in the Ariel Atom, Coarse Fishing, a visit to the Races at Wincanton and Taunton, Reflexology, Supper & Bridge, Cricket Coaching, Parrett Brand Apple Juice, Hampers, Westlands Screening tickets, Family Days Out and many more. - Annual Parochial Church Council MeetingAn invitation to all to attend the Annual Parochial Church Council Meeting to be held in St. Martin’s Church in Church Lane, North Perrott on Thursday 29th May at 6pm. Residents of North Perrott whose names are on the Electorial Roll are entitled to have their say in any discussions that take place. The Meeting is open to all Villagers regardless of whether they are regular members of the congregation or not and all are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings. The business includes reports of the general activities of the Parish, the financial accounts and the condition of the building itself. Do please come along to hear what projects are planned for St. Martin’s over the next couple of years. The Parochial Church Council work to maintain the fabric of the church and keep it as an asset for the village. We hope to keep the church functioning into the future with services for those who wish to attend, but also very importantly for weddings, funerals, memorial services and baptisms.
